One theme that ran throughout the Sustainable Cities : PLUS Network conference has been changing ways of thinking. This of course has always been part of the discussion around sustainability, changing people’s world view. But the discussion now stretches to include the kind of thinking necessary for approaching sustainability implementation; for example – creativity, lateral thinking, initiative, openness, bravery (is that a way of thinking?)What kinds of thinking are necessary, and how do we develop them?

How do we create “cultures of sustainability” in communities and organizations, both formally & informally ?
